RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-490

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to establish and enforce federal and state mandated child support program guidelines for children born out of wedlock.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to establish and enforce federal and state mandated child support program guidelines for children born out of wedlock approved by RS2012-321; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by replacing the original Attachment A (Child Support Magistrate Docket Detail form) with a revised one, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, to establish and enforce federal and state mandated child support program guidelines for children born out of wedlock, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
