RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-471

A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement between the State of Tennessee, acting by and through the Tennessee Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, regarding a non-recurring vaccine appropriation.

WHEREAS, the intergovernmental agreement between the State of Tennessee, acting by and through the Tennessee Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, attached hereto, specifies the parties’ roles and responsibilities with regard to a non-recurring vaccine appropriation; and,

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated § 12-9-104 provides that intergovernmental agreements between the State and political subdivisions of the State may be approved by resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement by and between the State of Tennessee, acting by and through the Tennessee Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, regarding a non-recurring vaccine appropriation, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
