RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-448
A resolution appropriating certain 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 Community Development Block Grant funds for neighborhood improvement projects.
WHEREAS, the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 Annual Action Plans approved by the Metropolitan Council specified activities to utilize Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and
WHEREAS, a portion of these CDBG funds are allocated for neighborhood improvement projects to install eligible infrastructure and enhancement improvements in low-income areas; and
WHEREAS, applications for these neighborhood improvement projects were submitted by neighborhood groups representing low-income areas and projects have been selected for expenditure of CDBG funds.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is authorized to expend and/or transfer to be expended 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 CDBG funds as specified in the Annual Action Plans for selected neighborhood improvement projects in low-income areas for construction and associated costs in the following amounts:
2011-2012: $710,000.00
2012-2013: $672,661.50
Section 2. Plans and specifications for neighborhood improvement projects are on file at the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency’s Community Development Office.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
