RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-379

A resolution approving an application for an innOVATION Grant from Ovation/Americans for the Arts to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, to expand artist engagement in the Artober Nashville Challenge.

WHEREAS, Ovation/Americans for the Arts is accepting applications for an innOVATION Grant, with an award of $25,000.00 with no cash match required; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for an innOVATION Grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and said application is authorized to be submitted to Ovation/Americans for the Arts.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
