RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-367

A resolution approving agreement No. 12ESTNGEML00037 with the United States Department of the Interior - United States Geological Survey for participation in the cooperative gaging program from July 2012 to June 2013.

WHEREAS, The United States Department of the Interior – United States Geological Survey has an existing agreement with The Metropolitan Government for participation in the Cooperative Gaging Program which operates and maintains water quality monitors and stream gages in several streams in Davidson County; and,

WHEREAS, The United States Department of the Interior – United States Geological Survey and the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services wish to continue funding the water quality monitors and stream gages for the period beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013, at a fixed cost to The Metropolitan Government of $150,000, as set forth in the attached agreement; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2001-870, agreements for this program may be approved by resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Agreement No. 12ESTNGEML00037, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
