RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-322

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, for ongoing professional training for Juvenile Court Probation Officers.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, for ongoing professional training for Juvenile Court Probation Officers, approved by RS2009-921; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to change the state agency administering the grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, to the Department of Children’s Services (E. 10), Invoice Requirements (C. 5), and Communications and Contacts (E. 2); and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, for ongoing professional training for Juvenile Court Probation Officers, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
