RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-219

A resolution approving an application for a Clean Tennessee Energy Grant from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Water Services Department, to replace aged HVAC units and ductwork with new energy efficient units on the Omohundro water plant campus.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation is accepting applications for a Clean Tennessee Energy Grant, with an award of $123,711.00 and a required cash match of $123,712.00; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for a Clean Tennessee Energy Grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
