SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-216

A resolution approving amendment four to a contract with Vanderbilt University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to establish responsibilities in complying with the CDC Tuberculosis Trials Consortium Project.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract agreement with Vanderbilt University for the Metropolitan Health Department’s participation in the CDC Tuberculosis Trials Consortium Project; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the contract by replacing Exhibit C (Budget), in its entirety and change the effective dates of the contract from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012; and

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment three be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment four to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Vanderbilt University to establish responsibilities in complying with the CDC Tuberculosis Trials Consortium Project, a copy of which amendment four is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
