RESOLUTION NO. RS2012-169

A resolution approving contract amendment eleven by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development, and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract with the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development, and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS amended by RS2011-84; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract amendment to replace paragraph C.1 Maximum Liability to increase the contract amount to $4,438,469.00 and add language for the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA), a copy of which amendment eleven is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment eleven be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment eleven to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development, and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, a copy of which amendment eleven is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
