RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-21

A resolution approving an application for and accepting a Frost Specialty and NasH20 Grant from Fireman’s Fund Insurance to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, to enhance equipment provided for the Metropolitan Nashville Multi-County Flood and Swift Water Response Team.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in the Frost Specialty and NasH2O Grant program; and,

WHEREAS, Fireman’s Fund Insurance has awarded a Frost Specialty and NasH20 Grant in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 with no cash match required to enhance equipment provided for the Metropolitan Nashville Multi-County Flood and Swift Water Response Team; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application and grant award be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application and award of the Frost Specialty and NasH20 Grant by and between Fireman’s Fund Insurance in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management, to enhance equipment provided for the Metropolitan Nashville Multi-County Flood and Swift Water Response Team, a copy of which grant application and award is attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management based on revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
