RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-16

A resolution approving an application for a Tennessee Historical Commission Certified Local Government (CLG) Grant from the Tennessee Historical Commission to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Historical Commission, to provide continuing education for staff and commissioners.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Historical Commission is accepting applications for a Tennessee Historical Commission Certified Local Government (CLG) Grant, with an award of $8,400.00 and an in-kind match of $5,600.00; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for a Tennessee Historical Commission Certified Local Government (CLG) Grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the Tennessee Historical Commission.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
