RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1802
A resolution approving Cooperative Agreement No. 68-4741-1-084 with the United States Department of the Agriculture – National Resources Conservation Service to stabilize the stream bank at Whites Creek.
WHEREAS, The United States Department of Agriculture – National Resources Conservation Service (“NRCS”) has offered the Metropolitan Government an agreement to stabilize the stream bank at Whites Creek in Davidson County; and,
WHEREAS, NRCS and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, want to participate in the joint funding of the $28,900 project to stabilize the stream bank at a fixed cost to the Metropolitan Government not to exceed $7,225, as set forth in Exhibit A hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that said agreement be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Cooperative Agreement No. 68-4741-1-804 by and between the United States Department of Agriculture – National Resources Conservation Service and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, to stabilize the stream bank along Whites Creek in Davidson County, as attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
