RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1801

A resolution approving amendment one to a package of grants from the Friends of Warner Parks to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to provide staffing for the Warner Parks Center and Nature Center support, the Waterer Program, and the SWEAT Program for additional labor for summer maintenance.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Friends of Warner Parks to provide staffing for the Warner Parks Center and Nature Center support, the Waterer Program, and the SWEAT Program for additional labor for summer maintenance approved by RS2011-1638; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the staffing portion of the grant agreement by increasing the amount by $622.50 with an in-kind match of $143.59, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the staffing portion of the grant by and between the Friends of Warner Parks, in an amount not to exceed $622.50, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, to provide staffing for the Warner Parks Center and Nature Center support, the Waterer Program, and the SWEAT Program for additional labor for summer maintenance, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
