RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1796

A resolution approving amendment one to the Interlocal Mutual Aid Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department, and the City of Goodlettsville for mutual firefighting, rescue, and first responder EMS assistance.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department, previously entered into an Interlocal Mutual Aid Agreement with the City of Goodlettsville for mutual fire, rescue, and EMS assistance approved by RS2001-891; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Interlocal Mutual Aid Agreement to provide fire suppression and dispatch units to any portion of the City of Goodlettsville’s city limits, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That amendment one to the Interlocal Mutual Aid Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department, and the City of Goodlettsville, for mutual fire, rescue, and EMS assistance , a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
