RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1768

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to make resources available for Keystone to support its new and existing employees and create 188 new jobs.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to make resources available for Keystone to support its new and existing employees and create 188 new jobs approved by RS2010-1383; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by increasing the amount of the grant by $66,352.00 for a new total of $132,352.00 and to change the end date of the grant term from June 30, 2011 to December 31, 2011, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to make resources available for Keystone to support its new and existing employees and create 188 new jobs, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
