RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1741

A resolution approving a contract with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc., Agent for Lexington Insurance Company, for purchase of insurance services for the Metropolitan Government.

Whereas, Metropolitan Code Section 4.40.030 provides that purchases of fire and extended coverage insurance must be approved by Resolution of Council; and

Whereas, as a result of RFP No. 10-155, the Purchasing Division of the Metropolitan Finance Department intends to procure fire and extended coverage insurance services from Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc., Agent for Lexington Insurance Company, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the contract attached hereto and incorporated herein (the Contract); and

Whereas, approval of the Contract is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc., Agent for Lexington Insurance Company, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
