RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1692

A resolution approving amendment one to a contract for services by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Hands on Nashville to recruit and coordinate the training of community volunteers to activate, operate, and de-activate points-of-dispensing (PODS) for preparedness activities.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract for services with Hands on Nashville to recruit and coordinate the training of community volunteers to activate, operate, and deactivate points-of-dispensing (PODS) for preparedness activities approved by RS2010-1384; and,

WHEREAS, The parties wish to amend the contract for services by revising the reimbursement method for volunteers, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Hands on Nashville to recruit and coordinate the training of community volunteers to activate, operate, and de-activate points-of-dispensing (PODS) for preparedness activities, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
