RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1688

A resolution approving a business associate agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and Critical Learning Systems, Incorporated to provide safeguards to prevent the use or disclosure of protected health information.

WHEREAS, Critical Learning Systems, Incorporated has proposed a business associate agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to provide safeguards to prevent the use or disclosure of protected health information; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this business associate agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the business associate agreement between Critical Learning Systems, Incorporated and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide safeguards to prevent the use or disclosure of protected health information, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
