RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1646

A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, to provide meals that meet RDA nutritional guidelines to eligible seniors at congregate meal sites and home delivered meals.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Greater Nashville Regional Council to provide meals that meet RDA nutritional guidelines to eligible seniors at congregate meal sites and home delivered meals approved by RS2011-151; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement to increase the amount of the grant by $19,632.00 for a new total of $876,657.00 with an increased required cash match of $2,181.00 for a new total of $69,797.67, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Greater Nashville Regional Council and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, to provide meals that meet RDA nutritional guidelines to eligible seniors at congregate meal sites and home delivered meals , a copy of which amendment onet is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
