RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1611

A resolution to approve the first amendment to the lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Greensboro I, L.P., extending the auxiliary parking for the Domestic Violence Program (Referral No. 2011M-003PR-001).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has a lease agreement with the Greensboro I, L.P., first entered into in 2006, to provide office space and auxiliary parking spaces for the Domestic Violence Program of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson and the Greensboro I, L.P. have agreed to the first lease amendment which extends the use of an auxiliary parking facility while lowering the future costs of parking for the Domestic Violence Program.

WHEREAS, the original term of the lease as extended, February 14, 2006 through February 13, 2016 remains unchanged.

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this first lease amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That this first lease amendment entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Greensboro I, L.P., a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
