RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1593

A resolution approving amendments two and three to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for family planning services.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, approved by RS2009-851 and amended by RS2010-1172; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to increase the amount of federal funding by $160,000.00 (amendment two) and to reduce the amount of state funding by $25,000.00 (amendment three) for a new total of $875,100.00, copies of which are attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendments two and three be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendments two and three to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, for family planning services, copies of which amendments two and three are attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant is to be appropriated to the Metropolitan Department of Health based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
