RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1587

A resolution approving an extension to a grant agreement from the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission, to perform Section 106 environmental review necessary for development proposals using federal funds to determine potential adverse effects to historic properties in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, RS2010-1240; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement to extend the grant for another term under the same terms and conditions with the new term being April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012, a copy of which extension is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this extension be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the extension of the grant by and between MDHA, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Historical Commission, to perform Section 106 environmental review necessary for development proposals using federal funds to determine potential adverse effects to historic properties in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, a copy of which grant extension is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Metropolitan Historical Commission, based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
