RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1573

A resolution approving contract amendment three by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville for the provision of services under the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract with the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville for the provision of services under the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) which contract was approved by RS2007-51 and amended by RS2008-209 and RS2010-1288; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract to replace paragraph C.1 Maximum Liability to increase the contract amount to $290,642.00, a copy of which amendment three is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment three be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment three to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville for the provision of services under the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI), a copy of which amendment three is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
