RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1559
A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the Friends of Centennial Park and the Parthenon to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, to provide funding for one employee’s salary.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Friends of Centennial Park and the Parthenon to fund one position which was included in the FY2011 budget approved by RS2010-1214; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by increasing the employee’s salary by $7,500.00 with a required cash match of $3,413.00 for the period January 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011, for a new total of $77,500.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the Friends of Centennial Park and the Parthenon and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation Department, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
