RESOLUTION NO. RS2011-1539
A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide dental services to those children who qualify for TennCare.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide dental services to those children who qualify for TennCare approved by RS2008-287; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant contract by changing funding of $69,252.00 to American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds and adding Sections E. 13 and E. 14 regarding ARRA language for July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011to the grant contract, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to provide dental services to those children who qualify for TennCare, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
