RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1470

A resolution approving a lease contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Pro-Fire Equipment, LLC for the lease of two pumper tankers for the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.020 provides that all leases of equipment or vehicles shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease two pumper tankers for use by the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department, pursuant to the attached lease contract with Pro-Fire Equipment, LLC, will exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the attached lease contract with Pro-Fire Equipment, LLC was procured competitively on an emergency basis; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this lease contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the lease contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Pro-Fire Equipment, LLC, for the lease two pumper tankers for the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
