RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1391
A resolution approving amendment one to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to create a team from each of the five Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) across Tennessee to serve as health ambassadors.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, to create a team from each of the five Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) across Tennessee to serve as health ambassadors approved by RS2009-934; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant agreement by extending the end date to June 30, 2011 and by transferring $76,251.00 from fiscal year 2010 to fiscal year 2011, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That amendment one to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to create a team from each of the five Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) across Tennessee to serve as health ambassadors, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
