RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1376

A resolution approving an Intergovernmental Agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by and through the Planning Department, and the State of Tennessee, for the sharing of GIS data.

WHEREAS, the Planning Department wishes to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Tennessee to share GIS data for the benefit of the Metropolitan Government and the State of Tennessee; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed Intergovernmental Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, T.C.A. § 12-9-104 authorizes the Metropolitan Government to enter into intergovernmental agreements with the State for cooperative projects with the approval of the governing body; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this resolution be adopted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Intergovernmental Agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee, attached hereto and incorporated herein, for the sharing of GIS data, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall become effective from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
