RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1366

A resolution approving an amendment to an intergovernmental agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, and Williamson County to temporarily house female juvenile detainees in Williamson County.

WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement was previously entered between the Metropolitan Government and Williamson County for the temporary housing of female juvenile detainees; and,

WHEREAS, the intergovernmental agreement was approved by the Metropolitan Council by resolution RS2010-1273; and,

WHEREAS, the term of the intergovernmental agreement needs to be extended to September 21, 2011; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this amendment be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the amendment to the intergovernmental agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Juvenile Court, and Williamson County to temporarily house female juvenile detainees in Williamson County, a copy of which intergovernmental agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
