RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1210

A resolution approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Acme Auto Leasing for the lease of a vehicle for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department gang unit pursuant to grant funding.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.020 provides that all leases of equipment or vehicles shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease a vehicle for use by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, pursuant to the attached contract with Acme Auto Leasing, will exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the attached contract with Acme Auto Leasing was procured by Invitation to Bid; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Acme Auto Leasing, for the lease of a vehicle for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department gang unit, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
