RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1168
A resolution approving a renewal of the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in planning, development, and delivery of services for individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract agreement with the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS to the Metropolitan Public Health Department; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to renew and extend the agreement approved by RS2009-798; and,
WHEREAS, in exchange for the delivery of services to the Metropolitan Public Health Department, the Metropolitan Government will provide payment of $1,476,022.00 for the period March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that renewal three be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That renewal three of the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
