RESOLUTION NO. RS2010-1144

A resolution approving a renewal of the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange for the provision of services under the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI).

WHEREAS, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville wishes to continue to arrange for the provision of services under the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) to the Metropolitan Public Health Department; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to renew the agreement approved by RS2007-51, and renewed by RS2008-412 and RS2009-874 respectively; and,

WHEREAS, in exchange for the delivery of services to the Metropolitan Board of Health, the Metropolitan Government will provide payment of $217,541.00 for the period March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that renewal three be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That renewal three of the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange for the provision of services under the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
