RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-965
A resolution to approve the second amendment to the lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Parkway Towers LLC for the use of space in the Parkway Towers Building (Proposal No. 2009M-015PR-001).
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has a lease agreement with the Parkway Towers LLC, first entered into in 2003 (with a previous building owner), to provide space in the Parkway Towers Building for the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson, at the request of the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office, and the Parkway Towers LLC have agreed to a second lease amendment which reduces the amount of space being leased in the Parkway Towers Building by 500 square feet, with a corresponding reduction in lease costs.
WHEREAS, the original term of the lease, September 1, 2003 through August 31, 2013 remains unchanged.
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this second lease amendment be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: That this second lease amendment entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Parkway Towers LLC, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2: That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
