RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-901

A resolution approving an application for a grant from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County for the purpose of community tree planting on vacant flood prone property on Ewingdale Drive, owned by the Metropolitan Government.

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture is accepting grant applications for community tree planting in an amount not to exceed $730.00 with a local match of $730.00 from The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County for the purpose of community tree planting on vacant flood prone property on Ewingdale Drive, which is owned by the Metropolitan Government; and,

WHEREAS, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan Government’s application for a grant from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, for the purpose of community tree planting on vacant flood prone property on Ewingdale Drive, which is owned by the Metropolitan Government, in an amount not to exceed $730.00 with a local match of 730.00 from The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to submit said application to the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County requiring it.
