RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-893

A resolution approving amendment six to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, previously entered into a contract with the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS to the Metropolitan Public Health Department; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract to increase the contract amount to a new total of $3,717,199.00, a copy of which amendment six is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment six be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment six to the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
