RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-862

A resolution approving amendment two to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to provide administrative funds for cross-training Zeledyne, LLC employees for glass building projects 08-09-FY8-6MN-STATE, Mod #2).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, previously entered into a grant agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to provide administrative funds for cross-training Zeledyne, LLC employees for glass building projects; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement by extending the grant term from June 30, 2009 to June 30, 2010, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment two be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That amendment two by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, and the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to provide administrative funds for cross-training Zeledyne, LLC, employees for glass building projects, a copy of which amendment two is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
