RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-858

A resolution approving cooperative agreement No. 09E4TN25250020 with the United States Department of the Interior - United States Geological Survey for continuation of a program for FY2010 to operate and maintain a ADVM gauge on the Cumberland River and water quality monitors and streamflow gauges in several streams in Davidson County.

WHEREAS, The United States Department of Interior – United States Geological Survey has an existing agreement with Metropolitan Government to operate and maintain a ADVM gauge on the Cumberland River and streamflow gauges network and water quality monitors in several streams in Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, The United States Department of Interior – United States Geological Survey and the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services wish to continue the existing agreement for another year at a fixed cost to the Metropolitan Government of $102,000.00 as set forth in Exhibit A hereto; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2001-870 agreements for this program may be approved by Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That Agreement No. 09E4TN25250020 as attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
