RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-808

A resolution accepting the donation of a gas grill for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Police Department.

WHEREAS, various individuals in East Nashville purchased a Charmglow Gas Grill, Model 720-0578, valued at $500.00, which they desire to donate to the Metropolitan Government for the use and benefit of the East Precinct of the Metropolitan Police Department; and

WHEREAS, a list of persons, businesses, and neighborhood associations contributing to the purchase of the gas grill to be donated is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. BL2006-1015, donations of items valued less than $5,000 may be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of a gas grill from various East Nashville residents to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, pursuant to the donation list attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
