RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-763

A resolution approving an application for a grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission, to provide nutrition, personal care, and homemaker services to eligible clients.

WHEREAS, the Greater Nashville Regional Council is accepting applications for a grant to provide nutrition, personal care, and homemaker services to eligible clients with an award of $507,200.00 with no cash match required; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for a grant, with an award of $507,200.00, to provide nutrition, personal care, and homemaker services to eligible clients, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same and the Metropolitan Social Services Commission is authorized to submit said application to the Greater Nashville Regional Council.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
