RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-759

A resolution approving an internship affiliation agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and East Tennessee State University to provide internship experience for students enrolled in the Public Health Program.

WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of East Tennessee State University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide internship experience for students enrolled in the Public Health Program; and,

WHEREAS, East Tennessee State University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, have entered into an affiliation agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to provide internship experience for students enrolled in the Public Health Program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this affiliation agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the affiliation agreement between East Tennessee State University and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, to provide internship experience for students enrolled in the Public Health Program, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
