RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-744

A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Metropolitan Hospital Authority for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office to manage security services at Hospital Authority facilities.

WHEREAS, the intergovernmental agreement between the Metropolitan Government and the Metropolitan Hospital Authority, attached hereto and incorporated herein, allows for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office to manage the security services at Hospital Authority facilities.

WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-9-104 provides that intergovernmental agreements between political subdivisions of the State may be approved by Resolution; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this intergovernmental agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the intergovernmental agreement by and between Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the Metropolitan Hospital Authority, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That any funds received by the Metropolitan Government pursuant to this intergovernmental agreement shall be appropriated to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
