RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-720

A resolution accepting a donation from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Planning Commission.

WHEREAS, The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill wishes to donate $1,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Planning Commission; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this donation be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the donation of $1,000.00 by The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Planning Commission is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Planning Commission is authorized to accept the donation for its use and benefit.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
