RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-687
A resolution appropriating $125,000.00 to the Metropolitan Planning Commission pursuant to a grant from Bells Landing Partners, LLC, to fund studies required for the proposed May Town Center Development Project.
WHEREAS, Bells Landing Partners, LLC, the developer of the proposed May Town Center Development Project has awarded a grant to the Metropolitan Planning Commission in an amount not to exceed $125,000.00, with no cash match required, for the purposes of undertaking an independent transportation study and an economic analysis study needed by the Planning Commission to properly and adequately evaluate the pending community plan amendment and rezoning applications; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has authority to enter into agreements and accept donations for planning purposes pursuant to Section 11.504 of the Metropolitan Charter; and,
WHEREAS, on November 13, 2008 and on February 26, 2009, the Planning Commission voted to accept and use these funds for such purposes as listed above pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution RS2008-242.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1: That the funds received pursuant to a grant from Bells Landing Partners, LLC, the developer of the proposed May Town Center Development Project for an independent transportation study and an economic analysis study, in an amount not to exceed $125,000.00, are hereby appropriated to the Metropolitan Planning Commission.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
