RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-641

A resolution approving a contract amendment with Stericycle, Inc. to add one additional location for the collection of medical waste.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a contract with Stericycle, Inc. to provide medical waste collection services for various departments, which contract was approved by RS2008-240; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that contract by adding an additional location to the Metropolitan Nashville Police locations at 501 Second Avenue North, Nashville, Tennessee at a cost of $15 per container, a copy of said contract amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that amendment one be approved.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That amendment one to the contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Stericycle, Inc., to add one additional location at 501 Second Avenue North, Nashville, Tennessee, attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
