RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-636

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to provide administrative funds for cross-training Zeledyne, LLC employees for glass building projects (08-09-FY8-6MN-STATE).

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, previously entered into a grant in the amount of $10,000.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to provide administrative funds for cross-training Zeledyne, LLC employees for glass building projects, which grant agreement was approved by RS2008-451; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend that grant agreement to increase the amount by $7,840.00 for a new budget total of $17,840.00, a copy of which amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant amendment by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Career Advancement Center, to provide administrative funds for cross-training Zeledyne, LLC, employees for glass building projects, a copy of which grant amendment one is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That the amount of this grant be appropriated to the Nashville Career Advancement Center based on the revenues estimated to be received and any match to be applied.

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
