RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-634

A resolution approving an application for an ICMA Public Library Innovation Grant from the International City/County Management Association to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

WHEREAS, the International City/County Management Association is accepting applications for an ICMA Public Library Innovation Grant, with an award of $60,000.00 with no cash match required; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for an ICMA Public Library Innovation Grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the International City/County Management Association.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
