RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-627

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to provide administrative funds to assist the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union No. 177 (08-09-FY8-4MN-STATE).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County previously entered into a Grant Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Grant Agreement to change the end date of the grant term from December 31, 2008 to March 31, 2008; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that Amendment One be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Amendment One to the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor and Workforce Development to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, to provide administrative funds to assist the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union No. 177, a copy of which Amendment One is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
