RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-608

A resolution approving an application for the Children with Incarcerated Parents Grant from The Memorial Foundation, Inc. to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

WHEREAS, The Memorial Foundation, Inc. is accepting applications for the Children with Incarcerated Parents Grant, with an award of $150,000.00 with no cash match required; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government is eligible to participate in this grant program; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant application be approved and submitted.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the application for the Children with Incarcerated Parents Grant, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same, and said application is authorized to be submitted to the The Memorial Foundation, Inc.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
