RESOLUTION NO. RS2009-1038

A resolution approving a grant agreement from KitchenAid to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers Market, to supply KitchenAid appliances for the demonstration kitchen at the Nashville Farmers Market.

WHEREAS, KitchenAid has awarded a grant valued at $12,445.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers Market, to supply KitchenAid appliances for the demonstration kitchen at the Nashville Farmers Market; and,

WHEREAS, the Nashville Farmers Market has accepted this grant pursuant to its authority under the Metropolitan Charter Section 11.702 and Chapter 400 the Private Acts of 1949 establishing the Farmers’ Market; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant agreement be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant agreement by and between KitchenAid, valued at $12,445.00 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Nashville Farmers Market, to supply KitchenAid appliances for the demonstration kitchen at the Nashville Farmers Market, a copy of which grant agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
