RESOLUTION NO. RS2008-528

A resolution recognizing the Bellevue Family YMCA and FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center on its 2nd Anniversary.

WHEREAS, the Bellevue Family YMCA and FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center, a partnership between the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and FiftyForward, celebrated its 2nd Anniversary on September 15th, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the mission of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is to be a worldwide charitable fellowship united by a common loyalty to Jesus Christ for the purpose of helping persons grow in spirit, mind and body; and

WHEREAS, the mission of the FiftyForward is to help adults 50 and older maintain their independence and active involvement in the community through comprehensive services, advocacy and community education; and

WHEREAS, during the week of September 15 – 19th, we hosted a member appreciation week at the facility to thank our members; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes the Bellevue Family YMCA and FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center, for working together to enrich the lives of the residents of the Bellevue community.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the 2nd anniversary of the Bellevue Family YMCA and FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center.

Section 2. The Metropolitan Council Office is directed to prepare a copy of this Resolution to be presented to Laurel Wilson of the Bellevue Family YMCA and Vickie Ballance of the FiftyForward J. L. Turner Center.

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
